LICENSES AND REGISTRATION

DRIVER'S LICENSES--new residents must obtain an Alabama State Driver's license within 30 days of establishing residency. Those with current licenses need only take the eye exam, not a written exam. If your license has expired or you never had one, you will need to take the eye exam, a written exam and a road test. Tests are given at the Probate Office located at the Baldwin County Satellite Courthouse, 201 E. Section St., Foley. For testing hours and current fees, call 251-943-5061.

VEHICLE REGISTRATION--new residents are required to license autos, motorcycles, pickup trucks, trailers and motor homes within 30 days of establishing residency. The vehicle and title for that vehicle must be present to register. The Baldwin County Satellite Courthouse, 201 E. Section St., Foley registers vehicles Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call the courthouse for current fees, rates and any additional documentation that may be required. 251-943-5061. Alabama requires automobile insurance but has no state vehicle inspection requirement. |

BOAT REGISTRATION--new residents must bring the registration receipt from the previous state. Fees are based on boat length. Call the Baldwin County Satellite Courthouse at 251-943-5061 for additional information. |

VOTER REGISTRATION--You may register to vote at the Baldwin County Satellite Courthouse Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Board of Registrars also provides monthly mobile voter registration throughout the county at various locations and dates. Call the Board of Registrars 251-937-9561, ext. 305 for dates and locations. |
