Pen Air Federal Credit Union has been named Business of the Month for July 2012 by the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.
The award distinguishes Pen Air FCU as a leading business in the area, and highlights its outstanding efforts internally, as well as in the community. Cindy Higginbotham, director of member services for South Baldwin Chamber, said, “We are excited to announce Pen Air FCU as our Business of the Month. We look forward to continued community involvement as they keep growing in Baldwin County.”
Pen Air FCU serves Escambia County, Florida; Santa Rosa County, Florida; and Baldwin County, Alabama. Currently in Baldwin County, Pen Air FCU has branches in Robertsdale, Eastern Shore, and the Wharf at Orange Beach. Early Fall 2012, a branch in Foley will open, as well.
With a free Premier Relationship Rewards account, members who have a free checking and savings account, free debit card, free eStatements and Bill Pay, are able to earn points on things they do and use every day. These points can then be redeemed for travel and merchandise through the CURewards Mall.
Pen Air FCU offers many options with their credit cards, which all have no annual fees, a 25-day grace period on new purchases, and rates as low as 8.9% APR*. Members can choose to support the University of West Florida, Pensacola Ice Flyers, Blue Wahoos Baseball, or even design their own card with Picture It. Business credit cards and accounts are also available.
In an economy that seems to waver, Pen Air FCU has proven to be a beacon of strength and integrity. Pen Air FCU has received a 5-star rating from Bauer Financial, Inc. for 86 consecutive quarters. This is an honor only 4% of national banks and credit unions can claim.
Pen Air FCU is one of the only financial institutions in this area that will finance beach-front property loans. With solid mortgage and business loan options, Pen Air FCU offers a variety of products to offer the people of our community.
Pen Air FCU is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution originally chartered in 1936 to serve civil service and military employees assigned to our military bases in the area, as well as their immediate families.
Pen Air FCU now serves many other employee groups, with 21 branches in Northwest Florida and Southwest Alabama, including four student-run branches at area high schools.
