Thanks to a partnership with the City of Foley the South Baldwin Chamber will once again host the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival. Following many discussions, yesterday the Board of Directors of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce voted to resume the production of the Balloon Festival.
“We are very proud to make this announcement” Donna Watts, President of the South Baldwin Chamber said today. “This signature event is important to the business community, the South Baldwin Chamber, the community and the City of Foley. The Chamber staff is excited and committed to unite their efforts in making the 2015 event just as memorable as the past ten years have been. “
Due to an increase in the City’s sponsorship as well as their continued commitment of additional resources we feel confident of the South Baldwin Chamber’s ability to continue the event.
A new date for the festival will be announced soon but we want to get the word out to our volunteers, vendors, pilots, friends and visitors that balloons will once again fill the skies of Foley!
Angie Johnston, Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Festival stated, “We are pleased to have a great working relationship with the City of Foley. They have helped us mitigate some of the risk that was involved in putting on the event and now we can move forward in confidence knowing that with hard work we can once again host an outstanding Balloon Festival.”
Ashley Watkins, Event Director, stated “we will be updating everyone through our social and media outlets as the details become available. Please visit our website at www.gulfcoastballoonfestival.com, or our Face Book page. We are looking forward to providing another opportunity for families to enjoy this unique and beautiful event.”
