Chamber News: Three Ways Attending Business After Hours Benefits Your Business

Posted April 1, 2017

Yes, it’s a social thing. Business After Hours provides an opportunity to visit with local folks you may not see on a regular basis, as well as meet new neighbors. This free event is included in your South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce member benefits.

The informal setting allows you to enjoy some wonderful snacks, have a refreshing beverage after work, and unwind from your day. But there are also benefits for your business when you attend this monthly gathering, including these three:

Awareness. Wearing a name tag – whether your company’s or a hand-written sticker – gets your business noticed. Even if someone doesn’t have an immediate need for your products or services, they will remember your business when the time is right. Simply because you were having fun at Business After Hours.

Familiarity. We like to know the people behind a business name. After all, it’s people who make a business, and loyalty comes from the way we are greeted and treated – even outside the company’s walls.

Trust. Membership in a chamber of commerce instills a confidence within the community. Representing your company at a chamber event makes fellow attendees comfortable in the knowledge that you – and therefore the business – care about quality and care about those you work and live with.

Ready to interact? Mark your calendar for the next South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours, which will be held Thursday, April 27, 5-7 p.m., at Bancorp South on S. McKenzie St. in Foley. We look forward to seeing you there, representing your business!
