John Estorge is the new Campus President at Fortis College in Foley, Ala. A dynamic leader with a dozen years of experience in education and training campus leaders, Estorge joins Fortis College from Miller-Motte College in Greenville, N.C., where he was associate campus director and director of admissions since 2015.
With a commitment to excellence and the capacity for managing multiple priorities, Estorge has developed diverse skills in a wide range of education arenas, from admissions, recruiting and career services, to management and retention.
“We are pleased John is bringing his talents and experience to the Foley campus, where he can help lead change and make a difference in people’s lives,” said Area Manager and Dothan Campus President Roger Rocha. “John’s motivational ideas and genuine character reflect the Fortis ideal and serve as an excellent model for developing students into successful graduates who make a positive difference in their respective communities.”
Prior to his most recent positions at Miller-Motte College, Estorge served as a career services director and high school admissions coordinator. He also was a Winterville, N.C., Presbyterian Church senior pastor for five years and served as regional director and team leader for CRU International, which operates 2,400 campus ministries and provides guidance and resources to people of all backgrounds.
A former City-County Recreation and All-Star baseball and basketball coach, Estorge is in the third year of a Ph.D. program in Organizational Leadership at Regent University. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological in Charlotte, N.C.
“I’m both motivated and passionate about seeing students succeed. I expect productivity and will relentlessly work to develop students’ full potential,” Estorge notes. “I look forward to instilling that same passion in all who work and study at Fortis College-Foley.”
Students attend Fortis College in Foley to learn skills needed to obtain jobs in growing allied health and HVAC fields. The campus offers programs in HVAC and Medical Assisting, as well as continuing education classes in Phlebotomy. Students in the Medical Assisting program learn about office administration, clinical procedures and computer operations. The HVAC program prepares students with the skills to install and service climate control systems.
