    Compass Media, a leader in custom publishing and content marketing, seeks an immediate hire of a talented Project Manager / Content Manager to work with our team in our Orange Beach, Alabama office.

    This unique position requires someone who can see and manage the big picture of a complex ongoing project as well as consistently produce a steady flow of top-notch content for various print products, social media clients and websites needs.

    The Project Manager side of the job will be responsible for a large, multifaceted brand. He/she will work closely with the Compass Media team on areas of design, print/online/social/video content production, ad sales, distribution, and community relations.

    The Content Manager role will involve writing compelling content as needed for a wide variety of clients. She/he will manage multiple client projects and will be responsible for communicating results and strategy to clients and sales reps directly. When these are social media clients, the role will include monitoring of those accounts, which can involve some evening and weekend responsibilities.


    • Lead brand management of a multifaceted, local tourism brand
    • Have extensive knowledge of the Alabama Gulf Coast tourism market
    • Manage workload as part of the social media team
    • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
    • Design and implement strategy to align with client’s business goals
    • Set specific objectives and report on ROI
    • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content
    • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in tourism publications, social media, design tools and applications
    • Previous project management experience, 3-5 years
    • Excellent internal and external communication skills
    • Analytical and multitasking skills
    • Print production experience preferred
    • Proven work experience as a social media manager
    • Hands-on experience in content management
    • Excellent copywriting skills; ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
    • Working knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
    • Knowledge of online marketing channels
    • General familiarity with web design
    • BS degree in Marketing, Public Relations or relevant field is preferred
    • On-site work in our Orange Beach, Alabama office
