Seasonal Hiring for OWA’s Haunted House Begins Aug. 21-22
Calling all scare actors!
(Foley, Alabama) — If you enjoy scaring your friends, OWA has the perfect job opportunity for you. Auditions for the haunted house’s “scare actors” will be held Aug. 21-22, 2019 at OWA. This year’s terrifying theme for OWA’s Town of Terror is “Hotel Mitchell.” It’s the hotel where you check in, but never check out. This year’s theme will feature possessed bell-hops, evil guests, plus a few terrifying rooms that might be better left unopened!
“Our Town of Terror haunted house is scarier than ever this year,” said Kristin Hellmich, OWA’s Director of Marketing/PR. “So we are looking for some truly terrifying and outgoing ghouls to frighten our guests this Halloween season.”
Applicants for Town of Terror: Hotel Mitchell must be team players, energetic and creative. Acting experience is not required, but is encouraged. Hotel Mitchell opens to the public Sept, 21 and will be open each Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Nov. 3. Auditions will be casting call style. All applicants will be expected to participate in improv scenarios and various acting exercises, both independently and in a group setting.
OWA plans to hire approximately 30 new employees for the haunted house alone. Positions start at $12 an hour. Interested applicants need to apply before auditions on Aug. 21-22 by going to WorkatOWA.com. Must be 16 years of age or older.
