Jordan Ebert to Lead Lion’s Baseball Team
Foley High School is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Jordan Ebert as the school’s Head Baseball Coach. “Coach Ebert is a familiar face in our community,” said Principal Russ Moore. “Anyone who was in town when he was a small boy can attest to his dedication to excellence in sports and in life. We are very pleased to have him on board in an official capacity and know that he will have a big impact on our PE students and our baseball athletes.”
Ebert, a graduate of Baldwin County High School, played for the BCHS Tigers from 2010 to 2012 and was part of their State Championship Team in 2011. A four-year starter for the Auburn Tigers, Ebert won the SEC regular season batting title as a sophomore in 2014 and is ranked in the Top 10 in Auburn history in at-bats and singles. He played five years of professional baseball in the Kansas City Royals and Colorado Rockies organizations as well as for the Winnipeg Goldeyes and Sioux Falls Canaries of the American Association.
“I am excited about this opportunity to teach and coach at Foley,” said Ebert. “My parents are both teachers, my Dad is a coach, and I feel like I have the opportunity to follow in their footsteps.” Moore added, “He has been preparing for this opportunity literally his whole life.” Coach Deric Scott, Foley’s Athletic Director stated, “Jordan is a great athlete and a man of strong character. We know that he will be a great leader for our students and a tremendous asset to our athletic program here at Foley.”
