The Chamber has given Bluewater Exteriors real, tangible value — from the connections we've built to the visibility we've gained in the community. Joining and being active in the South Baldwin Chamber has been one of the smartest moves that we could have made for our business. Being a member gives you inexpensive ways to advertise your business.

One of my favorites is the monthly Chamber Newsletter, where we advertise periodically. One occasion I recall is that we bought a front-page ad for $450 and sold 2 Pheasant hunts. That one ad produced $10,000 of income.  You never know who’s looking at these ads.

We also like to attend Business After Hours to meet and introduce ourselves to potential business customers.  We are fortunate to have one of the best STAFF’s in the country.  They are always friendly, courteous, and help us promote our business, always thinking outside the box and using cutting-edge technology. South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce ROCKS and we are proud to be part of it.

As a new business owner in 2022, a friend who had also recently started a business recommended that Local IT join the South Baldwin Chamber. IT guys are not the most outgoing social humans, but we joined and jumped right into everything the Chamber had to offer. We made sure to show up for as many ribbon cutting events and Business After Hours as we could.

The team at the South Baldwin Chamber was not only very welcoming but also made the effort to be right there with us at each event. Several great introductions were made to other chamber members, and business relationships were made that are still holding strong today.

The networking that we got from these events early on really helped our business grow and allowed us to make a name for ourselves in the community. New business owners will often make some bad decisions in the first few years, and we made a few. However, joining the South Baldwin Chamber was certainly not one of them.

The Gulf Coast Balloon Festival is such an incredible community event and we at Frances Holk-Jones State Farm are honored to be a part of it each year.
