20th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival on the Horizon, Poster Winner Chosen

​​Get ready for an exhilarating adventure as the 20th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival returns to Foley on May 2-4, 2024! Held at the vibrant OWA Parks & Resort for the fourth year in a row, this festival promises high-flying excitement and tons of family fun!



Prepare for three action-packed days featuring arts and crafts vendors, mouthwatering food trucks, children’s activities, mesmerizing hot air balloon tethered rides and glows, and fabulous live entertainment at the OWA Amphitheater! 

Join us for an unforgettable lineup of performers including Thursday's headliner, the Tri-City Saviors, followed by Friday's fantastic bands The Funky Lampshades, Erin Michael Taylor, and Southbound 75, and Saturday's sensational artists Ryan Dyer, Hannah Anders, and Drive!Drive!.

And that's not all! In celebration of our 20th anniversary, the Disc-Connected K9 dog show is back with us, showcasing eight shows throughout the weekend!

Don't forget to snag some awesome balloon-branded merchandise featuring the stunning artwork from our 20th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival poster design contest, crafted by talented local artist and entrepreneur, Tara McMeans, owner of Design Print Promote. 

Speaking about her winning design, Tara shared, “I wanted to create a meaningful design for the 20th Anniversary poster. I was able to incorporate the host city, Foley, and venue, OWA, into the poster art so that their hot air balloons could be featured.”

Please keep in mind that hot air balloon activities are subject to weather and wind conditions, and flight/glow times may be adjusted or canceled. Balloons are best viewed at dusk and dawn, always weather permitting.
