Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival Announce 2024 Dates, Seeking Artist for Poster Design

Foley, AL (July 17, 2023) – The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the dates for the 20th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival. The 3-day event for 2024 is scheduled for May 2nd-4th at OWA Parks & Resort in Foley, Alabama.
 
The event is currently seeking an artist who will be commissioned to create the artwork that will be on the t-shirt and poster for the 2024 Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival.
 
Criteria for consideration:

1. Artwork must be original by artist.
2. Artist must be 18 years of age or older.
3. Theme should include:  Hot Air Balloons, Art, Music, and the Gulf Coast.
4. Name of the Festival should be included in artwork:                                                                                        20th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival
5. Year should be included in the artwork:  2024
6. Foley, AL should be included.
7. Actual size of the commissioned poster after productions will not exceed 18 inches horizontal and 24 inches vertical.
8. If selected, artist agrees to relinquish ownership of artwork.
9. If selected, artwork becomes sole property of Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival and the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and may or may not be used in any manner the Chamber desires without further compensation to the artist.
10. If selected, commissioned artist will receive one payment of $500 (five hundred dollars).

 
Artists are encouraged to respond to confirm their interest.  Please contact Rachel Spear (see contact information below).  Artists are asked to submit proposed sketches/drafts by Monday, September 4th, 2023.
 
Submissions should be delivered to the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce at 200 North Alston St., Foley, AL 36535 or mailed to PO Box 1117, Foley, AL  36536.
